Code Wars 2008 Online Submission - Digital Imaging

Fast forward to year 2012...

It turns out that Barack Obama wasn't that great a leader after all. All citizens across the world (which the media claims should have all had a say during the US 2008  elections) are pissed off with this POTUS' policies too - including Kenyans and Japanese. People all around the world want somebody else to the win the 2012 US Presidential Elections...someone with authoritah. A compassionate soul who sympathizes even with minorities like J-O-O's and goddamn hippies. Three Wise Men spread far and wide in search of this Messiah - from the frigid peaks of the Himalayas to the plains of Balkhanistan overrun with mountain goats. (Yes, they finally decided to hold the US of A elections on a global scale, just so that those lame journalists shut up.) The Three Wise Men struck gold at last in a sleepy town called South Park 80 miles south-west of Denver, Colorado where the found the foretold Messiah: 9-year-old (still!) Eric Theodore Cartman, a paragon of all that is good on Earth. They also found a suitable candidate as his Vice Presidential running mate: a kid named Leopold 'Butters' Stotch.

So when do we stop beating around the Bush and tell you what exactly that YOU are supposed to do? Right now. YOU are a hotshot in the world of digital imaging, and you have been approached by the Eric Cartman for President 2012 campaign. YOUR job is to make an advertisement poster for the campaign. You've full freedom to use ANY resources at your disposal (including making somebody eat their own parents), and have full creative authoritah to make whatever you want. (You have some authoritah too!).

Additional Guidelines for the Digital Imaging event in Code Wars 2008

  • Read the Common Guidelines for Online Submission Events in Code Wars 2008 first.
  • The ZIP / RAR file that you submit for the event must contain the following:
    • One JPEG file of of your creation, with maximum dimensions of 1280 x 1024. The aspect ratio of the image may be anything you want - standard, widescreen, or custom. Same goes for the orientation of the image (can be portrait or landscape - it's up to you).
    • The PSD or XCF source file of your JPEG image, which clearly shows all the layers used in the image (don't anchor the layers). So basically, you can't get away with pasting somebody else's creation as yours - you need to show us how it was done. (You thought we'd forget about this, did you?)
  • Humor will be greatly appreciated. By 'greatly appreciated' we mean 'extra points during judging'. (Knowledge of the South Park series will be helpful in achieving this.)
  • The organizers reserve the right to use any and all means available to verify whether your entry is original. If it turns out that it is not, then the organizers reserve the right to reject your entry.
  • You need to appoint a participant as the lead designer of your entry (in case there's only one person, the choice gets narrowed down, doesn't it?). The contact details of the lead designer need to be submitted along with the entry. The judges of the event reserve the right to call up the lead designer for a viva round to clear any queries they have regarding the making of the project.
  • Decisions made by the organizers are final and binding. Thou shalt respect our authoritah.
