Code Wars Intra
Code Wars Intra is an annual event organised by Code Warriors solely for DPS VK students to induct new members with exceptional talent in different fields of computing into our elite club. For more information on how to prepare for the events which are held, read on. (There are more links in the sidebar under this category to give you a primer on how to prepare yourself.)
- Programming: We'll be testing your programming prowess on the Turbo C++ standard rather than ANSI C++. What we are looking for is logic and problem solving ability, and not neccesarily whether or not you can finish a fully functional program. You'll have to find a solution to a few challenging C++ questions in the time alloted to you.
- Web Designing / Digital Imaging / Flash Animation: These three are pretty intertwined areas, so we conduct tests in this in a combined format. It is not necessary, however, to participate in all three fields - instead, you get to choose which ones you want to do and show your mettle.
- Tech Quiz: This event tests your knowledge of the latest happenings in the world of tech, and your depth of knowledge in the history of computing and trivia on related fields.
- Group Discussion: Group Discussion is an event where you are given a topic related to technology to speak on - you get a few minutes to present you own views on it, and then the discussion is thrown open to all present. Note that simply the person who speaks the most doesn't neccesarily win - it's more about taking the discussion forward than shouting other participants down. We advice participants to bear this in mind.
And just in case you know some stuff in other fields, like DJ mixing, audio-video editing, other programming / web-design related languages, animation et al, please to come to our event and tell us about it. We'll be glad to hear you out and test your knowledge in those fields to see if your skills are up-to-the-mark to be a Code Warrior.
